Brooklyn-based indie folk singer-songwriter, Gemma Laurence’s latest offering, “Watchdog”, is about that age-old minefield of trust, in particular, lending it to somebody new in your life. It’s about that initial moment when you meet someone and you’re simultaneously infatuated with them and scanning the horizon for threats. But despite everything, you still want to let them in.
